BACKGROUND CHECKS
Completes all background, criminal history investigation, and collects a motor vehicle report prior to any new hire.
TRAINING
Provides ongoing and situation based training to ensure that caregiver is best prepared for your family's needs.
CAREGIVER SELECTION
Sheppard's Helping Hands will complete an in-home assessment in order to gain a better understanding of the needs and personality of your loved one. We will match these needs to the caregiver that we feel best suits them. If there is every a circumstance where another caregiver is desired or a caregiver is ill, we provide another caregiver that is familiar with their needs. We also complete all of the scheduling.
DRUG TESTING
We complete a 10 panel drug test at time of employment and randomly.
SUPERVISION
We use a charting and time keeping system that uses GPS motoring. These results can be found on-line in real time by family members and medical staff that are involved in the loved one's care. This allows the family to communicate directly with the caregiver and keep a pulse on how their loved one is doing. Our supervisors also performs on site drop in visits on a regular time schedule.
PAYROLL TAXES
Sheppard's Helping Hands' caregivers are all W2 employees. This means that we handle all of the tax withholding and reporting.
INSURANCE & BONDING
Sheppard's is fully licensed, bonded and insured. This includes workers compensation.
POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Sheppard's Helping Hands has a very high level of standards of operating procedures. We feel that this allows us to better maintain a high level of safety. It addresses such issues as transporting clients, infection control, client financial matters, and reporting of neglect and abuse.
LICENSING
Sheppard's Helping Hands is licensed by DHEC. We undergo an on-site inspection by the state to insure we meet their requirements to operate in South Carolina.
FLEXIBILITY OF HOME CARE SERVICES
Your home care service requirements will rarely stay the same.
