Our Family Portal technology was designed for the families of our clients. Using the Family Portal demonstrates that Sheppard’s Helping Hands wants to offer the best service available anywhere and to provide transparent real-time information and interaction for families. Traditionally medical care was provided by doctors and nurses while non-medical in home care was provided by families. With families spread across the state and country the traditional care units are no longer able to provide care for our loved ones the way it once was. Our Family Portal was built because we know families still want to be involved and do care. The Family Portal allows for real interaction with Sheppard’s Helping Hands, the assigned caregiver, medical staff, oversight of shift work, review of the care plan and much more. Our Family Portal was built for caring families who want to be involved or until now have been unable to be involved in such a personal and real-time manner.
